Teen Leadership - PA's Info
Program Aid (PA) Program: (must be a registered girl scout for 2021)
We have new PA directors Tater Tot (Heidi Davis) and Knit-Knots (Sara Allen) this year. Look forward to this page being updated with the most current info soon!
If this is your first year as a PA you will need to come up with a camp name. Please think of a couple of options, if your first choice is already taken by an adult, or another recent PA it cannot be used.
NEW PAs ONLY (you only need references if you have never been a PA before) you only need to turn in 1 reference this year.
The program looks something like this.
PA 1 - 1st year PAs (any Girl Scout going in to 7th- 12th grade who has not been trained)
***There will be a required online council training that will need to be completed prior to attending camp. Dates and times coming soon. ***
VITs (Volunteer in Training) - 5th and 6th year PAs (11th and 12th grades, unless you have never been at camp as a PA)
This is a new program that provides an opportunity for the girls who want to be more involved with the girls at camp. There is a VIT award that can be earned by taking a council training course and completing a certain number of hours working in a volunteer position. All of the specific requirements are available in the senior/ambassador hand books.
As a VIT at day camp, the girls have some options:
1. To be a unit leader or an assistant unit leader. (If you are interested in this, please let me know what age group you are most interested in. I need to get your information to Tigger as soon as possible, she is placing leaders in the units now.
2. Follow the same path as the Senior PAs.
